Kandy Whales is comprised of voters from Washington, Oregon, California and Nebraska, who were delivered into the hands of Philadelphians in 2000. Led by singer Clark Roth and backed by Paul Haidle (programming, bass, guitar), Aron Dunlap (violin, vocals, keyboards), and Joshua Delpech-Ramey (drums). They evoke the pioneers of technological cross-contamination, Kandy Whales measures out just enough deep groove to keep the millennium's multi-genre love child entranced in front of a distinctly American hearth. The ''Whales are an animal all their own,'' who deliver a sinister, angelic, dance-your-ass-off good time. The band''s 9-song debut record, Blow Up!, appeared in April of 2004, featuring the hit party singles, "Sex Box" and "Atlantic City". Melted Inside, a 3-song EP appearing in September of 2005, is the latest offering and features a slamming horn trio--just in case you thought that you might be able to finally catch your breath.
