Connecting the Universe Music is an independent record label designed to serve just about anyone in the healing arts field and beyond. Detaching the World Vol. 1 (January 2002), Detaching the World Vol. 2 (November 2003), and Detaching the World Vol. 3 (December 2004) were created with the help of a professional massage therapist. Ideas were collectively put to use so that a wide variety of listeners would benefit.

In the early days, musician Emil Gagliardi had trouble receiving massage due to the incomplete atmosphere most massage music provided during his sessions. The music was never appropriate for creating balance and was often times shorter than the session. When creating the Detaching the World Series, these details were key for him to perfect. Each cd has a running time of over an hour and includes tracks of even consistency with no ups and downs, vocals or percussion. Not only is the music of Detaching the World good for massage therapy, it serves well in meditation, yoga classes, hypnotherapy, background music for the office, cooking, and even painting.
