"Psychosis put to music" - Superstruct Magazine(www.superstructmagazine.com)

With a musical history that includes elements of jazz and hip-hop, Subvert takes this project in the complete opposite direction. Harrowing sounds, vocal samples that are non-sensical, nightmarish and beauty all in industrial form. The apocalypse of the brain.

The age-old tale of mental abnormalities in soundtrack form. This tale is told in one track, that is actually 9 tracks carefully strung together:

delusions {0:00 - 2:57}
paranoia {3:28 - 6:10}
hallucinations {6:11 - 9:30}
thought insertion {9:36-13:23}
no 'word salad' {13:30 - 16:51}
meds {17:02 - 20:31}
relapse {21:04 - 23:59}
collapse {24:00 - 26:40}
hope? {26:48 - 30:15}

Subvert's first album dealt with the decay of the surrounding world and "Release Me" focuses on the decay of the mind. A soundtack if you will, once again.

Listen with headphones and don't be afraid of instrumental music. Don't let lyrical music tell you what to think or feel. Let your mind wander with instrumental music and come up with your own interpretations and/or lyrics to come up with your own perceptions.

Industrial and beat-driven at times, this album is not for the faint at heart.

Since it is only one track, there was only room on CD Baby for a two minute sample.

In the same light as Fantomas' Delirium Cordia, this album takes the listener on a non-skipping around journey through beauty and nightmare.
