"Apple Juice" includes fourteen original fingerstyle/fingerpicking tunes and three more arrangements of classic fingerpicking tunes. After my many years of fingerstyle and classical guitar background it was time to get some of it on a CD. Recording was done with the aim of maintaining a natural acoustic guitar sound, and this should especially appeal to fellow acoustic guitarists. Some notes on a few of the songs:
Blanchard Song: The song was meant to highlight the sustain and sweet tone of the Blancard Bristlecone guitar.
Hair Ball: a story of a cat (and mouse).
Child's Play: my child's antics and guest appearance
Berg's Lament: a musical tribute to Nicholas Berg
The guitar played on these pieces was either a Mark Blanchard Bristlecone or a Collings C10 Deluxe. The microphones were either Microtech Gefell M300s or Neumann TLM 103s
