"Reflections of Our Pioneers - Spomeny Pioneriv" introduces Duet Maryna's first composition "Kraina Kazky". Popular and entertaining folk songs are combined with original pioneer melodies reflecting all aspects of pioneer life, especially "Zabava" or Party.
Successful Ukrainian recording duo, Maryka Gulka-Chabluk and Iryna Holowczynskyj-Wilson aka "Duet Maryna" has captivated and delighted audiences with repeat performances at Festivals across Canada & USA, and internationally have performed in Italy, Japan and Australia.

Their first Christmas CD "Joyful News" is truly the "first of its kind". Ukrainian Carols are sung in English and Ukrainian providing enjoyment and understanding for everyone. Wonderful arrangements support "angelic" vocal harmonies making this an outstanding album for the Christmas season.
"DUET MARYNA" has also released an exciting collection of lively and entertaining Ukrainian folk songs with guest artists "Lvivski Muzyky" of Lviv, Ukraine. This CD entitled "Till We Meet Again - Do Pobachenya" is also the first of its kind creatively combining Winnipeg's talent with artists from Ukraine.
All "Duet Maryna" recordings include the Ukrainian words and English translations for all songs.
Their musical roots stem from similar backgrounds. They are alumni members of the Rusalka Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble, both danced and sang with various community groups and church choirs and both play musical instruments.
Memberships include the Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association and the Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg.
