Star Of Bethlehem is Gary's second album. It is a circle of friends having fun. This piece of art takes the music of the season and presents it in a unique style.
Some selections like Silent Night has the feel of standing in a gentle snowy breeze, while Canticle of the Turning is a cry for justice. Amen!Amen!! sounds like a beach party. Promised Land is an affirmation and Star of Bethlehem, a joyous celebration with an edge. You can listen to this album over and over and hear something new each time. Gary McInnis is a hospital and hospice chaplain working for the Diocese of Lansing. He lives in Flint, Michigan but considers Portland, Oregon "the city of my heart." The band, Sneakin' Out, makes music in that beautiful city on the Willamette. Journey Catholic Community adds their voices to the church songs. Special note: Most of the songs have a nod to the Beatles, eg in Star of Bethlehem a mandolin lick is played backwards. How many can you find? Track List: 1. O Sanctissima 2. Star of Bethlehem 3.
