Larry is the lead singer in a local rock band, as well as in his church folk group. He plays guitar primarily to accompany his vocals, which have often been described as "friendly" & "powerful". On this album, his first, he only sings.... turning the playing over to the studio owner, Jeff Avalier, who established himself as a world class musician on the West Coast, prior to coming to Utica.
Jeff plays guitars, bass(his first love), keyboards and percussion on this CD. Larry's sister Regina, who majored in piano in college, does a couple of solos here, as well as accompanying Larry on an Irish folk song.
"FOR YOU & FOR ME" contains many different styles, all praising the Lord. Evangelization is the common theme to the three Hagan penned songs, and Larry's Van Morrison influenced style can be heard throughout the album, except for the finale, the 48 second "Panis Angelicus", in which Hagan demonstrates his range in singing 5 part harmony sans instruments. This disc is a lively, spiritual work that will have you singing along. Shalom/
