About Lindsy…
Lindsy Morton has been traveling around the country and sharing Jesus Christ through song for the past year. She has independently sold 3,000 C.D.'s, and is now preparing to make her second album. This all started with a fourteen year old girl, an old guitar, and a church with a need.
"I had an old guitar that I could kind of play," says Lindsy, "And I could carry a tune. So, next thing I know my pastor is giving me a call, asking me to be an interim worship leader for the church. I was in JR. High, I was insecure, I was scared, I wasn't that great at guitar or singing, but God didn't care. He just wanted a willing heart to fade into the background so He could be seen. So, there I was," Lindsy adds with a smile, "the fourteen year old, unqualified worship leader with a really bad sounding guitar."
Lindsy began her music ministry leading worship at Calvary Chapel Brighton. There were seeds planted in her life then that have now grown into something so much more than she could ever have imagined. Her life took a turn in high school when her family moved to Littleton, Colorado, but that didn't seem to stop her passion for Jesus Christ. She found herself singing on a new worship team at Calvary South Denver, and leading worship for the youth group there. She began writing songs, playing the piano, and expanding the gift God has given her.
"I started writing a lot of songs in High School, and my worship leader would ask me to play them for the church every now and then. And it hit me one Sunday that, O man! These songs are actually touching peoples' lives, and God is actually speaking through my struggles and weaknesses. I realized that I was holding a candle, and God didn't want me to put it under a bushel any longer."
So, Lindsy Morton recorded "Writings of a Glove", and has been sharing her stories,
songs, and most of all Jesus with a hurting world.
