About the band--We are 4 people.

•Barbara Leavy has been studying and learning African tunes and rhythms from some folks from Guinea, W. Africa. She plays balafon and drum.
•Fred Simmons has been playing music in his own band for thirty years, loves to jam and create unusual situations. He plays trombone and has been known to write a song now and then. In the 80's, played parties for Ken Kesey and his retired Pranksters, shared a stage with Flying Karamazov Bros., Grateful Dead.
•Karl is a former electrical engineer/ high school physics and math teacher/ street musician whose current interest is using Projective Geometry to explore the possibilities of an exact science of qualities (as opposed to quantities) - he also loves learning to play the tuba.
•Philip Sherwood is a guitar player with his own original style, very rhythmic and hypnotic. He makes up these great riffs that we love to jam to. He's also working hard at being an organic farmer.

We all love to jam, so that's what we do alot of. You can dance to it, or just listen to it. It's a very elemental, organic sound we have--the music sounds like it plays itself. We are not your ordinary sounding band though, as you might be able to imagine if you've been paying attention. We're mostly instrumental, except when we sing. The great thing is how it's jelled and has really created music that's not been heard before.

Our Cd does successfully represent what we sound like. Check it out, We think you'll like it.
