Three decade's worth of playing and composing songs on this 18 song CD from song writer Max Ochs. a poet and musician . he learned in person from the greats: Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James and Son House, all of whom lived at Max's house in early 60's New York City. He also studies John Fahey, Mike Stewart (Backwards Sam Firk) and Neil Harpe. Like Pete Seeger, one of his heroes, he loves to get people singing, but mostly and especially he just loves to play old Piedmont and Delta blues.

Since 1992, Max has run the 333 Coffeehouse in Annapolis, Maryland and he claims it is still fun. Once in a while he writes a new song.

He teaches world history to high school students in the port city of Baltimore. Summers, he hosts free outdoor concerts in Annapolis' biggest park, Quiet Waters.
