For more than thirty years Pat Cooksey has been singing and writing songs. He began in the Folk Clubs of England, later moving home to Ireland where he performed with many of the biggest names in Irish Folk music, The Dubliners, The Fureys, and Jim McCann, to name but a few.
Pat is the writer of several of Irelands most famous folk songs including THE SICK NOTE- WHY PADDYS NOT AT WORK TODAY, and THE REASON I LEFT MULLINGAR, which have been recorded by virtually every major Irish Folk artist worldwide. The original versions of both these songs are featured on Pat's C.D. WORDS, recorded in Germany, where Pat now lives, and where he has become a popular concert performer. The C.D. includes several other previously unreleased songs, and with just voice and guitar gives a good impression of Pat's singing style. CONCERT REVIEWS.
