Artists on In Dreams I Hear the Music:

Paul Grace: fiddle, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, vocals
Win Grace: autoharps, accordion, vocals
Leela Grace: banjo, feet (clog dancing), vocals
Ellie Grace: mandolin, bones, feet (clog dancing), vocals

On this 1993 CD, with Ellie at age 14 and Leela at 16 and Paul & Win ageless (as always), the Grace Family are really starting to cook on the old time string band music and to have a great time with four-part harmonies on contemporary and traditional folk, not to mention South African a capella! In Dreams I Hear the Music is a reality for these four!

This is the album that took The Grace Family to New York City's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts!

". . .another beautiful and charming album filled with the best music of a bygone era as well as contemporary tunes that evoke the same feelings. . . .some of the most beautiful vocal harmonies you are likely to hear this side of the River Jordan." --Andrew Limani, Folkfire

Leela and Ellie Grace in 2002, now ages 23 and 25:

Leela and Ellie Grace play mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and banjo and have over 17 years experience in performing, choreographing, and teaching percussive dance styles that include Appalachian clogging, Irish Step Dancing, and Rhythm Tap. Since graduating from college in 2000 (Leela) and 2001 (Ellie), they have continued to tour the country, sharing their love of music and dance with people of all ages. As a duo and as solo artists, they have appeared at national folk festivals, collaborated with highly respected performers, and inspired young and old alike as teachers of music and dance.

Leela and Ellie's music has a strong grounding in traditional American and Old-time string band styles, but often crosses over into the contemporary folk realm, including their own original songs. They have recorded three albums with The Grace Family (in addition to doing studio work with other musicians) and have performed at prestigious venues across the United States and Canada, ranging from the Winnipeg Folk Festival to the Lincoln Center in New York City.
