The ROADSIDE REVUE is not afraid to have a good time on stage, and the interaction with the audience is usually quick and complete. If you haven't laughed, cried, or been amused or made to reflect upon something new by the end of one of their sets, then it was probably the sound man's fault!
The ROADSIDE REVUE is:
Ron Litschauer: Vocals, guitar, mandolin
Ron's thirty-five years of writing, performing and recording experience have given him many opportunities to work with some of the finest musicians. Stage performances have included playing lead guitar and mandolin with numerous acts, including a Florida tour with the legendary Tom Paxton. His band mates call him "Ranger Ron", because of his organizational skills and peculiar habit of trying to make people stand in single file.
Bari Litschauer: vocals, banjo, mandolin
Bari's fresh and enthusiastic approach to the instruments she plays, along with her song writing skills contribute to the unique quality of the group. Her experience as founder and owner of The Amp Shop and Music Parlor in West Palm Beach has exposed her to a wealth of talent, and given her the opportunity to hear and explore every imaginable musical genre. Her rock and roll customers affectionately know her as the "Amp Lady."
Dawn DeWitt: Stand up acoustic Bass, guitar, vocals
Dawn's thirty year career path has crossed a wide variety of gigs including store openings, weddings, two bar mitzvahs, a pet birthday, and many folk festivals. Inspired early on by such greats as "Sing along with Mitch," her recording career began with her first answering machine. Seriously, Dawn's song writing skills, quick wit and humor, and rock solid bass lines have become a cornerstone of the band's performances.
Stan Geberer: harmonica, guitar, vocals
Stan is a true harmonica virtuoso and an accomplished songwriter. Noted for his soulful spirit and masterful style with influences by Sonny Terry and Phil Wiggins, his talents are always in demand. He has appeared on countless stages and recordings with noted artists from Florida and beyond. His impeccable timing and handsome attire make him a welcome addition to the group.
The ROADSIDE REVUE's latest CD release, "Getting Out of Town," was described in the publication, Friend's of Florida Folk as ..." a unique sound of rootsy homespun music that is a delight to listen to, and for lack of a better word, fantastic." (FOFF Feb. 2002)
Recent and regular yearly performances include: South Florida Folk Festival, Florida Folk Festival, Gamble Rogers Festival, Barberville Pioneer Days Festival, Wings and Strings, Will McLean Festival, and the Deception Pass Music Festival in Seattle.
