Three Texas songwriters -- sprung from the rich soil of American roots -- converge on the road to Louisiana. Mark Viator, Jane Gillman, and Marce Lacouture, take new and old, melody and backbeat, English and French, and create a sound that is at once exuberant and ethereal.
Voices glide, paired, like sisters. Musical and narrative images unfold, side by side. The fluttering call of the harmonica, the earthy response of the slide guitar, suggest the traditional Cajun pairing of accordion /fiddle, then follow a different path.
