Beth Aaronson, Ken Fine, Ellen Garfield and Linda Rose, the quartet of Massachusetts performers known as The Musical Mavens, have captured the hearts and memories of their listeners for over a decade. The Musical Mavens delight their audiences with a wide range of Jewish musical melodies, and blend their voices and instruments to create a unique musical ensemble. The Mavens concertize at International festivals, concert series,educational programs and private functions throughout New England. One of the Mavens' key missions is keeping the rich Yiddish musical heritage alive by passing down traditional melodies heard from their grandparents to the next generation. This lush collection entitled "A Yiddishe Maven" contains a rich heritage of Yiddish tunes, including lullabies, love songs, songs of emigration, and drinking songs, showcasing the rich diversity of Yiddish music.
