TINKU Records is an independent recording label established in 1999 by Francisco Astudillo.
TINKU utilizes The WIND instruments Zampoña, Toyos, Antara, Rondador, Quena, Maltas and Quenacho as well as some unique instruments designed exclusively for use in TINKU 's concerts and recordings like the QUENICHO ™ . The PERCUSSION instruments are the BOMBO, CHAJCHAS, CAJON PERUANO and PALO DE LLUVIA (rain stick); while the STRING instruments are composed of the Charango, Cuatro and Ronroco. In addition, TINKU minimizes the use of electrical or non-native instruments to maintain the true form of LATIN FOLK/ANDEAN music.
