Waterbug Anthology 8 includes previously unreleased tracks from Anais Mitchell, Rachel Ries, Jonathan Byrd, Gina Forsyth, Andrew Calhoun and Michael Jerling. Includes "Girl WIth a Hayrake", a song by a 19-year old Welshman named Jack Harris, Kerrville New Folk Award Winner 2005, which is based on a painting by Winslow Homer. The title, 'Born Into the Whisper" is taken from Paul Curreri's mind-blowing lyric to "Hawkmoth":
... and the firmament stopped trembling,
and covered up its teeth
born into the whisper so to speak
big-eyed hawkmoth, rise you up
and hang where you may
if you keep a perfect distance,
nectar pulses through
it was a good day,
i knew just what i knew
