Cynthia Jones, formerly Cynthia Carlyle is a gospel recording artist, psalmist, songwriter, radio host and author. She, her husband Elder Robert Jones and younger son Corey, lives in Savannah Georgia.
Cynthia is a native of Richmond Virginia. Her passion for singing lead her to her first public solo at the age of seven.
While growing up in Virginia, Cynthia sang with numerous school and church choirs. She sang in nursing homes, prisons and other events traveling to New York, North Carolina and Florida. In 1985 she, her previous husband and two sons, left for a 6 year tour to Europe. After having gone through marital separation and divorce, today Cynthia is blessed with a wonderful husband to whom she share in ministry with. They are both ministers of the Gospel. Together they host a radio broadcast called, "Moments of Inspiration." She and her husband have some very powerful and life changing testimonies that are sure to edify, encourage and comfort those who hear.
Cynthia's strong soprano voice is loved by many. Some say it resembles gospel recording artist, Sandy Patti. Cynthia has a unique voice with lots of versatility. Through the years Cynthia has ministered in homeless shelters, evangelistic outreaches, weddings, church services, women conferences and etc. Cynthia ministers today through her songs with a true passion because of her relationship with Jesus. Inspite of the trials and pains that she's come through, "God has been faithful." Which is also why she loves spreading the gospel through song.
Some of the songs she's written, arranged and sings on her cd are songs that were birthed while in the midst of her tests and storms. Out of these experiences the Lord deepened her relationship and trust to him and birthed a ministry of worship to bring healing and prosperity to others, and to help lead them into the presence of the Lord, where they too could find joy, pleasure and comfort in knowing him.
In March 1997, the Lord confirmed Cynthia's ministry during a revival meeting saying; "she will sing the sick well and the poor prosperous." Cynthia gives all glory to the Lord!
Cynthia served as a worship leader from 1987 to 2002. In June 2001 Cynthia launched her first self produced cd entitled, "Lord There Is None Like You." In August 2001, she sung lead vocal in a duet, during a workshop with legendary gospel recording artist the Rev. James Bignon of Atlanta GA. Today Cynthia continues to minister in song giving every opportunity to be available for the work of the Lord.
