I was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and began singing and playing the piano at the age of three. I was saved and baptized when I was seven years old, and even at that early age I knew I wanted to live for Jesus because of what he did for me that day at Calvary. I was raised in church and learned to love gospel music which has always been a part of my life. My father was a Baptist minister and as he traveled all over the southeast to preach revivals I would go with him. He would sit me on the piano stool atop a pile of song books to play the piano and sing. I realized that God had given me a talent and that singing was the call to ministry in my life. I have always known that singing and ministering through song was His plan and purpose for my future, there has never been any doubt about that. The road has been hard at times but my belief and conviction of knowing God's calling on my life has kept me going when I felt like giving up. My Father was such a great influence and spiritual leader and was always encouraging and so proud of me. His support, prayers and faith in me was the strength I drew from when I would get discouraged. He would always go with me when I would sing and sit on the front row where I could see him praying for me and that gave me such peace and comfort. He knew as well as I, that God had called me to sing. So when he passed away on November 11,1997, I became even more determined to continue to spread the gospel through song and decided to go a step beyond and pursue singing full time.
I now reside in Mobile, Alabama with my husband and he definitely has become my strongest supporter and promoter. I could not have accomplished the things I have without his love and support. I have a wonderful stepson, beautiful daughter, and two precious grandchildren, twins; Payton and Presley, 2 1/2 years old and they are the light of my life. I thank God for all the blessings of life and the opportunities he has given to me. I pray that I will be able to reach those that have never known Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. That through some song or a word in a song that a seed might be planted that will be a constant reminder of the sacrifices and the greatest love we will ever know, and that is the love of Jesus Christ. The blood he shed for us on the cross that day at Calvary that gives us all the opportunity to choose eternal life. I also want to sing songs that could offer encouragement and hope for those who are going through difficult times or that could bring a smile to those who need to be uplifted and inspired. I want to thank my husband for his love and encouragement, his tireless efforts and his constant support. His strong faith and belief in my talent is what has inspired me and has helped me as I fulfill my dreams in gospel music. Also, I want to give a special recognition to my daughter and two precious grandchildren who continue to bless me daily by simply being in my life. I also want to thank my step-son, mother and my sister and her family for their love and prayers. Everything I ever accomplish in life, I dedicate to the memory of my father who still inspires me even though he is living with the Lord and not here on this earth with me. He is still present with me in spirit and I know he goes before the Lord on my behalf. I pray my ministry will be a blessing to the ones who listen, an instrument of encouragement to those who are discouraged and a planted seed in the heart of those who are unbelievers. Please keep my family and me in your prayers. Pray for my ministry that souls will be reached and his name will always be exalted. Thank you for visiting my web site and may God Bless You!
