Darryl was born of in Chicago Illinois to James and Adele Hampton a singing family who's Love was to spread the gospel in song and who's dream was to one day record. The love was spread into the children but the dream never realized in that generation. Though it has been a long time coming, that dream is nearing fruition. Even though James and Adele are now in the Kingdom, their dream lives on in their children.
The Children have moved from Chicago to hail from Mississippi, birthplace of the Elders and organized a Gospel Group called the Divine Messengers. They have appeared with the likes of Slim and the Supreme Angels, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Williams Brothers, Clarence Fountain, The Pilgrim Jubilees, Soulful Messengers, and others. They too intend to follow their Brother in a recording project. Be looking out for them.
In conclusion Darryl, is also a Minister who has been trained by life experiences through bad marriages, cults, gangs and drugs, to be prepared to go anywhere for the Lord and bring his children home. These stories shall be written in future music. God Bless.
