Donald Ray Dixon, born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, was just nine months old when his father was the victim of a car accident that spared him and the life of his brother. Nine months later, he lost his mother due to sickness. Adopted and raised by a loving grandmother, he grew up learning and abiding by the apostolic faith and teachings. It was in this faith that Donald and his family recognized his distinctive gift of worship and praise through song and ministry. Donald acknowledged the call of God to serve at the age of twelve.
In 1984, Donald relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where he was officially called to the ministry. Shortly thereafter, he was licensed and ordained to preach and teach the Word of God. As an adolescent, Donald took his roles and commitments very seriously, which inevitably led to numerous opportunities to serve in the Kingdom of God. Some of which include serving under the leadership of Pastor Luther Blackwell and Rev. Bill McKinney, both from Ohio, as Video/Sound Engineer, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, Praise and Worship leader, and Armor Bearer for many years.
Donald has also served as Youth Coordinator and Administrator at True Holiness Temple, in Cleveland, Ohio. Donald's faithfulness and dedication to ministry offered him the exciting opportunity to participate live on stage with musical artists Lynette Hawkins Stephens, Cheryl Frazier, Keith Pringle, Richard Smallwood, Jerry Q. Parries, Morris Chapman, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Darryl Coley, Dottie Peoples, Donald Vails, and the late Rev. James Moore.
Donald also recorded the lead vocals on the Title cut theme song "Just Say No" for the 2001 NAACP Image Award recipient for the best work of literary fiction, Omar Tyree. Donald has also performed and acted in the theatrical production featuring a duet with La Shun Pace entitled, "Keeping The Family Together," written by Charles and Delores Westmoreland. Donald was also selected to perform at the 2002 Gospel Music Workshop of America.
Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Donald is a loving husband and father of two. As a Preacher and Teacher, Donald aspires to take the practical truth of God's love and reach the multitudes by unveiling the labor and fruit of God's Kingdom through a life of God's pruning. They will then experience the beauty and reward of a patient servant and acquire the understanding of a wounded and healed spirit.
Because Donald's spiritual experiences surpass the emptiness and façade of a religious life, his testimony offers truth and love to those who need answers. Experience the height, depth and width of God's love with this angelic voice as each song is sung with an experience of being alone in the Presence of God, behind the veil.
This CD Clarity will prove to you that their is no place like being in the presence of the Lord.
