Elder Johnson, who was born in rural Soperton, Ga. and is no newcomer to the music business or to the church. Music became an integral part of his life while attending high school in South Florida. A six year military journeyman, Elder Johnson has travelled extensively throughout the world. Early in his career Connail entered the secular music realm and garnered accolades, financial gain and a measure of success. In 1987, Elder Johnson heard the voice of the Lord calling him into the fold of everlasting life. After returning to Miami in 1990 he then pledged his ministerial allegiance to Bishop Victor T. Curry, senior Pastor/Teacher of the New Birth Baptist Church of Miami, FL. It was a single entitled "Solid Rock", which was recorded on the "Gifts of Praise" C.D. in 1995 wit New Birth that launched Elder Johnson into a solo career. Elder Johnson is now the Senior Pastor/Teacher of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Hollywood. For the past five years God has used this anointed vessel not only to sing zion songs, but also to preach good news to the faint at heart.
