Nigerian/American gospel singer Emman O2 has recently emerged with a new and more reflective spiritual sound. His new album entitled "Dance & Sing" displays his versatility in vocals and beats. His music draws on his African roots but also fuses jazz, R&B, reggae and even some rap to create a rich cultural brew. This blend of African beats and western lyrics have created a flavorful and soulful music that is very unique.
Emman O2 has recently returned from a trip home to Nigeria where he was able to hold several concerts and further the work of his ministry. He is passionate about bringing his message of hope to the people who hear him all over the world.
Emman O2 was born into a Christian family in Benin City, Nigeria. He began to sing at an early age. He later sang in the Christ Chosen Church of God's choir in his early teens where his Mom was known as the mother of the church. After several years, Emman O2 became a member of the "Redeemed Voices" at the Church of God Mission International. Emman O2 quickly became a soloist and recorded an album in the 80's with songs like "I Like What You've Done", "Joy Like a River" and "You Came to Me". His music was featured on major Television stations in Nigeria where he became known as an up and coming gospel sensation.
After immigrating to America in the late 80's, Emman O2 now lives with his family in Seattle, Washington. He worship at Westgate Chapel in Edmonds, Washington.
