Evangelist Clarence Scott was born in Florence South Carolina, March 24, 1945 under the sign of Aries. He found
God at an early age. This is the story of a “true sharecroppers sonâ€. As you know on Wednesdays and Sundays …
you HAD to got to church, Evangelist Scott started singing in the choir. Was baptized in the holy water of Savanah
Grove Baptist Church in Florence South Carolina.
He knows the meaning of true family values. He picked cotton, tobacco and plowed with the old mule. We could
go on and on….but we won’t. When he was about 16 years old white supremists fire bombed his house in Florence
South Carilina . He received third degree burns over most of his body. He stayed in the hospital for over three and a half
years. The doctors said that there was no hope. But GOD's Got THe Last Word Youv'e heard about Emmet Till and the
16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham.Now you will hear the living testimony of Evangelist C. Scotts testimony
on this CD.
I first met Scotty in 1965 in the beginning days of my label. Evangelist Scott lived and traveled with me as I tried
to break my label. Eventually I owned two record shops and one One – Stop. Evangelist C. Scott was always
there. Loyal, devoted and dedicated.
Eventually I lost contact with him. But he stayed on my mind all the time. I finally found him in Chicago. He was
an activist, singing the blues and gospel. I brought him back to his roots. So we made a gospel CD in Richmond
VA titled “God’s Got The Last Word.â€
