Harold J. Haughton, II(HjayH)(pronounced H Jay H) is a contemporary Gospel artist and songwriter. His company is called "Born Down South Productions". "Expressions of Praise" is HjayH's full debut CD. It is scheduled for release in May 2005. He released a debut maxi-single entitled, "A Christian Woman(is all I need)in 2002. "Expressions of Praise" is an incredible CD. It consists of 13 amazing tracks. Each track is testimonial, inspiring, uplifting and soul-stirring. This is a CD that everyone must have. It is going to truly change people's lives.
HjayH is originally from Jackson, Mississippi, but now resides in West Haven, Connecticut. He was educated in both the public and private schools in Jackson. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Virginia State University and his Master's degree in School Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University.
He is presently in his 18th year as a Special Education teacher in the New Haven Public School System. He is the head junior varsity and assistant varsity boys basketball coach at Wilbur Cross High School at which he is a full time teacher. He accredits his strong Christian roots to GOD's grace and his parents, Mr. Harold J. Haughton, Sr. and the late Mrs. Myrna C. Haughton. However, he is also thankful to all his relatives and close friends who played positive roles in his life. He states, "They will never know just how much they have impacted my life. I just hope and pray that I will continue to make them proud."
