In Ecclesiastes 3:1 - the word of God says - "to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." (KJV) This is Jerry's time. Jerry is a living testimony to the fact that 'your gift will make room for you.' Now he has the opportunity of taking his unique ministry to the next level with the release of his debut project "Bless The Lord" where he has composed and co-written, arranged and produced the songs as well as sing them. The title is based on Jerry's favorite scripture Psalm 103:1-4.
Jeriel Teel, Jerry as he is known to friends and colleagues, has a music knowledge which spans over 30 years and has earned a reputation and respect as a phenomenal bass guitar and keyboard man, and can now add vocalist. Having shared the stage with the Luther Barnes, Dorothy Norwood, The Christianaires, The Red Budd Choir (Pastor F.C. Barnes), Dr. Bobby Jones, the late Rev.James Cleveland, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Jackson Southernaires, Williams Brothers, Gospel Keynotes and the Violinaires, just to name a few, while playing for the Gospelaires of Dayton Ohio, Brooklyn Skyways, Heavenly Upsetters along with other Gospel groups and individuals. Currently he is doing production and arrangement work for local groups.
Jerry has traveled to various parts of the country, playing at the Richmond Coliseum, in Richmond, Virginia to the Houston Community Hall in Houston, Texas and the Apollo Theater in Harlem New York (NOT AMATEUR NIGHT), to many correctional facilities, ministering to people of all races, nationalities and religious persuasions.
God has blessed him mightily with creativity, and has allowed Jerry to also create a character, "Bro. Whatever" from "Wherever, USA". He takes this 'character' to local Christian Cafe's and various churches. Although many view "Bro. Whatever" as comedy, this character causes Brother and Sister Christian to really do a spiritual examination of themselves and their Christian walk.
Hits are many on this jam-packed album, because Jerry's mission is 'to share the message of the TRUE and LIVING GOD, to as many as possible in any Godly way.' As expressed through the most noticeable selections on this project, the upbeat songs "NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD" and "BLESS THE LORD" to the smooth mellow ballad "WHENEVER HE'S NEEDED" and JESUS COMFORTS ME.
Coming from a musically inclined family, it is no wonder that his love for music flows deep from within. This unique project offers variety and versatility, but most assuredly shows the vibrant gift, that Jerry Teel is Blessed Of The Lord.
