From choir member to membership with GMA and the National Recording Academy, Praise and worship leader, L.A. Samuel has come full circle in taking his ministry to the next level. Having started his musical career at the age of six when most children are playing with toys, L.A. determined that one day he would be used of God. Now having matured his gift of singing, this young man's abilities blend from strong and powerful praise to soft and serene worship, thus creating a tapestry of full-bodied music that moves listeners to worship.
It is apparent that great grace has been extended to L.A. not only through the music he sings, but also through the songs he writes. Finding a catharsis for the pain of his personal trials and tribulations, L.A. was inspired to write such songs as, "Stand Still and See," "I Will Trust," and "You Are My Help."
And what was on the heart of God for L.A.'s next move after ministering to audiences at the General Convocation of the United Holy Churches of America in Greensboro, NC, writing worship music, serving several years as youth pastor for an inner-city Pentecostal church and currently as senior pastor of the Miracle Temple Worship Center in Norfolk, VA? A worship CD.
"His Presence, His Glory" was birthed at the 99' Manpower Conference in Washington, DC. God had a plan and L.A. was walking right into it. God had prepared Bishop T.D. Jakes to give a prophetic word to L.A.. He was to lean even more on the guidance of the Holy Spirit and take his talents, gifts, abilities, and anointing to the next level. By God's grace, L.A. has arrived at his next level with both a CD and a church.
Of course, through all of this, God had prepared his helpmate Tina to encourage, strengthen, and pray. A woman of both excellence and eloquence, she has been the nurturer of what God has given L.A. to do. With prophetic insight, she balances his preaching and singing schedules.
"His Presence, His Glory" is not just another CD. It is a gift from the heart of God to the listener. Just think---All of this transpired from little six year old Samuel who said, "Speak Lord, thy servant heareth."
