Marcella Holmes is the fifth child of nine children to Mrs. Geraldine L. Campbell and the late Pastor Lavoughn J. Campbell.
She began singing as a child in church. She would sing with her family known as the Campbell Singers.
In later years Marcella would become Director over various groups and choirs. She became inspired to write songs and teach them.In 1989 she became a professional
singer, traveling to many places.
Marcella has had the wonderful opportunity and experience to record and sing with Gospel
Artist Lawrence Matthews & Friends, Daryl Coley, Edwin & Walter Hawkins. She has shared the stage with Kirk Franklin, Twinkie Clark,Pattie Labelle,actors Danny Glover and Roscoe Lee Brown and others.
Marcella performed in the Broadway hit Musical Production Gospel At Colonus at the Orpheum Theatre,San Francisco,Ca. She is a member of the Glad Tidings C.O.G.I.C.
in Hayward Ca. under the Bishop J.W. Macklin.She is on the Praise and Worship team
and sings a in the G.T. Sanctuary Choir.
Marcella is a teacher in the Resours Sp. Ed. Program at San Leandro High School and is the Director/Advisor of the Voices Of Variety Gospel Choir at San Leandro High. She is married 25 yrs. to Murphy J. Holmes. They are parents of two wonderful sons Murphy J.II and Milan.
Marcella's devotion for writing and singing songs under the inspiration of the Lord.Is clearly a blessing and gift from God. I'm sure you will be encouraged,up lifted and filled with joy through her first cd project on Vinyard Production Label entitled Come On Everybody Praise God.
