Shana Henry is a singer, educator, and activist whose work spans from cooking to protesting.
My songs are an exploration and expression of contemporary Christian faith in an everyway-diverse world. I believe that a person's faith, irrespective of its flavor, must be approached with head and heart.
My conviction is that we are all seeking to learn of, respond to and be in relationship with the one and same God.
My work with teenagers has particularly influenced my songwriting, as I have observed their growth in faith in spite of a world hostile to their healthy sense of self as children of God.
I use my songs to meld head and heart, and had the opportunity to base my doctoral dissertation (in Creation Spirituality) on my songs and an analysis of their Biblical basis.
I hope you enjoy my music - please let me what you think! Thanks for reading this far!
