Phil Perry, born in Kansas and raised in Texas, knew at an early age that music was to forever be a part of his life. Phil has been playing and composing for over 20 years.His greatest influences are the gospel legends we still hear today. Phil is the Minister of Music at New Life Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. While in Montgomery he has worked with several state and local choirs.
In 2000 he felt a calling on his life to venture out and form Called Out. Their first release 'Wonderful Marvelous', in 2001, was a mini-cd that recieved notable reviews.
'You Can Have It', released in 2003, was a full project that was embraced by the local community as well as beyond the Montgomery area.
In 2004 Phil believed it was time to do a solo project. 'Fix it Jesus' is an effort that is filled with personal testimonies of trial and triumph.
