Reverend Knight is a native of Miami, Florida where he began playing the piano and singing in the Church choir at the age of six. He was often told by the adults that God had given him a gift. Not fully understanding what that fully meant as a child,as he grew older he understood that to mean that God has blessed him with a talent to sing and make music to inspire others to surrender their lives to Christ.
Reverend Knight now resides in Prince George, Virginia and serves as Pastor of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Prince George, Va. and the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, Va. Preaching is what God has called him to do and ministry of music is the gift he shares in making full proof of his ministry. In 1999 he was awarded the male vocalist of the year by the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Richmond Virginia Chapter.
His music has the soul stirring sound of Sam Cooke and the spiritual depth of Rev. James Cleveland. His passion for music and divine anointing can be felt as you listen to the soulful sound of Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr.as he sings "Save A Seat For Me".
