I'm Sister Maxine West, let me take you on a little tour of my life's history. I started singing at the age of five. There were so many times that my brothers and sisters were outside playing and my father would keep me inside to train my voice. He would always say that he saw something special in me.
After reaching the age of fourteen we formed a family group. Paul Beasley and Tally of the Gospel Keynotes started training me. A few years later, I moved to Dallas, Texas and received a little training from the late Bro. Jimmy Jones of the Mighty Clouds of Joy. Rev. Gean West, was also an influential part of my singing ministry. I've had some ruff times, but through it all, I'm glad that God has anointed me to sing his praises. That's why whenever I sing, if I had arms. long enough, I would reach out and embrace the whole audience. God has given me a love for people that is unexplainable. I made the Lord a promise that I'll never forget from where I come. My advice for you all is to remember no matter how dark it gets in your life, God holds the light. May he bless and keep you in my prayers eternally
