The Christian Brothers would like to take this opportunity to thank you. We want to express our gratitude and appreciation for you taking valuable time to read more about "The Christian Brothers" and for listening to the music sampled off our newly released CD entitled "DEAR LORD". We feel God will bless you through this ministry.
In 1979, under the direction of the Holy Spirit Rev. David LeSure Sr. fulfilled one of his dreams; singing praises unto God with his sons.
In that year The Christian Brothers were created. The original members consisted of Rev. David LeSure Sr., David LeSure Jr., Rev. Kelvin LeSure Sr., Rev. Esqulaira LeSure and with several other members. After many years of ups, downs, highs,lows and changes in personnel, The Christian Brothers have continued to press on doing the work of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Over the last several years the Lord has truly blessed this music ministry. This ministry with God's grace has grown spiritually and has victoriously maintained it's stability.
The Christian Brothers currently consist of two original members: Rev. Kelvin LeSure Sr., and Rev. Esqulaira LeSure. The remaining members are Min. Lyneil Nash, Ellis Sims, Joshua Hannna and Nathan Ford. The current nucleus has been together for more than 7 years.
God has truly blessed our ministry and shown favour in our efforts to glorify Him and edify the body of Christ. In our portion of Kingdom building we've had opportunities to spread the gospel abroad in various locations. The Christian Brothers strive hard at giving God our best at "Lifting HIM UP" and He in return Lifts you up.
It is because the "FAVOUR" of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, "The Christian Brothers" have to their credit one vinyl 45, one LP, one previously recorded CD entitled "Heal The Land", and now the newly released CD entitled "Dear Lord".
God's "FAVOUR" also afforded us success and acknowledgement at a few Gospel Quartet Conventions:
* In January 2001, at the "American Gospel Quartet Convention", The Christian Brothers were the only group to receive an extremely hard to obtain perfect score of 25 on their 10 minute showcase for the category of new artist.
*In October 2002, we attended the "Luther Barnes Fall Song Classic ", out of approximately 75 or more singing aggregations from all across the united states; The Christian Brothers (not expecting anything..) were blessed to take home a trophy for "1st place".
*In January 2003, we made our way back to Alabama, once again, we were blessed at the "American Gospel Quartet Convention", as the members of this convention suggested by their votes that "The Christian Brothers" were named "The nation's Favorite New Quartet Artist "
*We've also been blessed through raving reviews and/or reports that had been written and presented to millions via the popular internet publication who's theme is "Taking Quartet Gospel To The Next Level". It is called GLORYLAND GOSPEL which is overseen by Minister Donnie Addison at (glorylandgospel.com). We were first introduced to him through our song ministry at the American Gospel Quartet Convention in 2001. He has reviewed and featured our last CD entitled "Heal the land" in 2001, as well as our newly released CD entitled "Dear Lord".
When Praises GO UP!! BLESSING DO COME DOWN!!! This just seems to be the beginning of continued blessings. We're so grateful to God for all he has done, and is doing for this ministry.
The Christian Brothers ministry is simply convicting, compelling & sharing with the whole world that there is power in believing and trusting in our Lord and Savior,Jesus Christ.
