ANEYA SLIMM - When you walk up on this 19-yr old tall, skinny young man from West Memphis, Arkansas, you would never believe that he raps like a storyteller and had flow like the Nile River. Aneya Slimm is truly a force to be reckoned with. This eight year veteran on the mic draws deeply from his rich and diverse musical background of R&B, jazz, classical, reggae, and most importantly blues. Contrary to most rappers bringing a hardcore street sound, Aneya Slimm has an "old soul" sound that pulls you in and makes you "want" to hear more. He gives you the best of both worlds with intriguing lyrics and catchy hooks! His master-pieces catch the avid listener engulfed in his diverse storylines and topics while attracting the booty-shaker with rhythmic beats and simple-straight to the point hooks.
M.A. - M.A. does not stand for his degree of higher education, but it does however equate to his expertise on the mic. Myron Anderson aka M.A. may be considered a triple threat. With his street conscious lyrics, infectious beats and uncanny vocals, the only thing stopping this hard-knocked rapper is a breath break. A native of Houston, Texas, M.A. is no stranger to struggle and street life. Growing up in the Houston 3rd Ward Projects with his mother and little brother, M.A. has experienced first hand the anguish of the ghetto. Growing up with a nonexistent biological father and a stepfather that was in and out of jail, M.A. has learned to remain strong. Then one day, fed up with the projects, M.A.'s mother accepted a job offer that would move 12-yr old M.A. and his 7-yr old little brother from the Houston projects to the Dallas suburbs. For three years the family would shack with friends in order to save money, ending up in the Wheatland Terrace Projects in South Dallas. Despite the constant instability, 15-yr old M.A. continued to prosper in football and track, earning many honors awards and All-State honors. It eventually earned him a scholarship to Arkansas State University, where he is now enrolled. Drawing from the many experiences of street life, the projects, family instability, and life in general - M.A. starting putting his thoughts to paper. By freestyling to any beat and rapping about social conscious topics, M.A. quickly became known as one of the best rappers and lyricists in his high school and amongst his college peers. YOUNG FAME -The sharp and scintillating lyrics of Young Fame has intrigued many rap lovers. Born and raised on the North side of Pine Bluff, AR, Young Fame has lived his life by the hustle. Being tossed out on the streets at the tender age of 16, it seemed his only option was to grow up fast. At the age of 12, Young Fame's talent became apparent to one of his older cousins. His cousin's encouragement gave him the drive to enhance his game. Young Fame battled in the corridors of his junior high school, perfecting his capability as a rapper. Then tragedy hit Young Fame's life. Fame's cousin, his muse and inspiration for rapping, was suddenly killed. This drove Young Fame even harder to express his lyrical expertise outside of the mere hallways of middle school. The influence of a wide variety of music mixed with his distinct style and voice, places Young Fame in a league of his own. What other rappers may call "punch-lines," he depicts them as being real-life situations he has experienced or witnessed first-hand. He truthfully is the first artist from the south to approach the game with an "up north" swagger and style. Check out the artist's website: http://www.highrizerecordings.com Track List: 1. Intro 2.
