One of Houston’s hottest hidden talents has finally been discovered by Houston based E. Ladder Entertainment. The group named “THA OFFICIALZ†was signed in May of 2005. Although T.O. has only been with E. Ladder for a short period of time, they are already turning heads for their vivid and club bouncing lyrics.
Terrence aka “Golden Child†McMiller age 23 and Larry Comer II aka “King II†25 has been in the rap game for nearly ten years. They have now come together to combined with arsenic lyrics what they have both learned from the game as well as their struggles.
G.C. started rapping in 2001 and won a contest with Party 104.9. Soon after he started his own record label Fly Boy Entertainment which allowed him some exposure all over Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. G.C has made several appearances on Street Flavor and also toured with Chopper and 5th Wards Webbie. G.C. wants his music to be club bopping, the type of music that makes you move. What sets him apart from everyone else is that he has his own style. While everyone was hot all over screw, G.C. was about making music that would literally make the whole club bounce. Although G.C. has been in the game longer than a lot of local rap artists, he kept getting incarcerated which held him back. However, now he is out and has a strong desire and determination to definitely bring something different to the rap game.
Larry Comer II aka King II is the other half of THE OFFICIALZ. King II has been rapping since he was 13 years old. King II has been in numerous rap battles and stands out as an artist able to rap at different levels and speeds. King II verbal and lyrical flow speaks for itself. King II has been featured on several underground mix tapes. East Coast’s very own Legendary DJ. Dirty Harry, Dirty South Vol 2, West Coast DJ Dice, West to South Mix tape Vol 1 and the Executive Decision mix tape Series Vol 1-3.
G.C. and King II met on the south side of Houston, Texas. The pair instantly clicked because they had been through the same struggle. They could relate to one another. G.C. and King II have enough songs ready for five albums. Now together they will collaborate to definitely make their mark in the game. THE OFFICIALZ determination speaks volume and through their writing skills paints vivid pictures and brings out emotion in the listener. The truth is in their music. THE OFFICIALZ have been featured on E. Ladder’s Sin City Volume 1 and 2 which is hosted by Akon and has sold over 12,000 copies in France, Germany, Switzerland Holland. THE OFFICIALZ are currently recording their debut album entitled “Loyalty Before Royalty.â€
