I have lived in LA since 1978. Originally, I am a native of Cleveland, Ohio where I studied with the great jazz pianist Bill Gidney.

In the 80's I got a fair amount of session and sideline work. I worked in an area of the business dealing with source music cues.

In the 90's I found steady long-term solo piano work in hotels. In addition, I did and continue to do lots of private affairs.

Like most muicians I have had to wear many hats to survive and I believe I bring this experience to recording projects.

What I really like about recording solo piano is the explorative possibilities I'm offered.

Also, I can be very spontaneous, and that's when I do my best work.

In my opinion this CD "Blame It On My Youth", represents the best which I'm capable at this time, at least until the next project.

I have been influenced by many artists. Some that come to mind are Bill Evans, Red Garland, Ellis Larkins and of course Bill Gidney. I believe these influences come through.
