"Pugs and the Puppies" is an animated band of puppies who perform original songs about adventures they have. This release is intended for children ages 1-7, and their parents. The CD has also received much interest from pug dog owners.
Pugs and the Puppies...In Concert comes with an illustrated songbook, so children can view illustrations and follow along with the lyrics for each song.
Chris Thoft-Brown created "Pugs and the Puppies", and wrote all of the songs. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Chris received his Bachelor of Music from Duquesne University in 1989. He currently teaches instrumental music to 4th grade students in the Brookline, MA Public Schools.
Erika Thoft-Brown (Chris' wife) provided the "voice of pugs". Erika was also instrumental in writing and editing lyrics for many of the songs. In short, it was her editorial input that helped Chris finish the project.
Chris and Erika live in the costal town of Marlehead, MA (approximately 20 miles from Boston), with their 2 year old son. The couple is expecting their 2nd child in mid-December, 2001.
