Hi, my name is Marla Lewis. I began singing as soon as I learned to talk, and writing songs since I was 12! I've performed my original programs in schools, libraries, and parks in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as in Long Island and Westchester County for the past 20 years.

Since 1989, I've been teaching Music and English as a Second Language in the New York City school system. I find that "hands-on music" is a powerful motivator for children, and makes language learning a breeze!

My new CD, "We All Laugh in the Same Language," is completely kid-tested! Upon hearing the songs, kids have told me things like:

"Can I hear that AGAIN?"
"Can I have your autograph?"
"Where can I get a copy of that song?"
"Everyone in the UNIVERSE should have this CD!"

I invite you to check out this tuneful collection that celebrates diversity, curiosity, friendship and love of learning! You'll hear Dixieland, Pop, Rap, Rock, Blues, Cajun, Hawaiian and more!
