Children's performer Renee Padgett's debut album, "Walking Sideways," blends earthy tones, world rhythms, easy-to-follow dance moves and rich, imaginative imagery into a groovy musical journey for the whole family!

Drawing on over a decade of experience in early childhood education (as well as a lifetime as a performing musician), Reneé has crafted songs that not only entertain, they help with large motor development - each song has a corresponding set of motions and dance moves that children can learn quickly and easily (instructions are contained within the liner notes and, for certain songs, on the CD itself). Reneé also incorporates her songs and dances into an exuberant live show - in the classroom or on-stage, she performs both solo and with the "Reneé's Here" band, a 7-piece ensemble featuring horns and a rhythm section.
