'Jam Food' is the debut CD release of Spaghetti Cake, an original rock band for kids from New England, winning "Best New Artist for Older Children" by the 2001 Children's Music Awards. The songs on 'Jam Food' are fun and uplifting, without being cheesy or "teachy-preachy", and are seriously rocking to boot. The lyrics remind us of the wonder of the heavens, the glory of childhood, and the power of imagination. 'Jam Food' spans numerous styles, from rock to reggae, from bluegrass to blues. The band is an all-star lineup of regional jam band musicians that love to inspire and educate young minds.

Recorded on Toddy Pond in remote Blue Hill, ME during the summer of 2000, (then later mixed by veteran NYC producer Earl Cohen) this album captures a magical musical moment in time. It is filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

The members of Spaghetti Cake are Glen Nelson and Susan Birk (from Flipper Dave), Adam Larrabbee (from Bruce Hornsby's band), Joachim Horsley (from Littlehorse), Mike Tierney (from The Feed), and Rob Fried (from Max Creek).

Other touring members of the band include Dennis Fancher on guitar (from Dr. Juice), Mike Rau on drums and Joe O'Brien on bass (also from Dr. Juice), Todd Howard on bass (from Last Fair Deal), and Pamela Rivera on vocals.
