Warmest wishes from all of us here at the Sunshine Road.
..."Oh and of course a hello quack from Pogo the duck" !
The Sunshine Road is an award-winning, family based musical group. They have performed at a variety of venues, including Sesame Place, Six Flags Amusement Park, The Hartford Civic Center, Lake Compounce, The Brooklyn Children's Museum and the Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament. They have been listed as The Best of Connecticut by NBC Channel 30 and recieved honorable mention in The international John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Together for a little over five years, the Sunshine Road believes in the power that music has on children's self-esteem, which is why they have devoted their creativity to developing music that is upbeat, interactive, and of course fun! The Sunshine Road's music is based on the notion that when children sing and dance they feel great about themselves and aren't afraid to dream, and with that dream they can create a future full of happiness for themselves and for the world. It starts with one little song.
David Verdosci, is the lead singer and songwriter for the Sunshine Road. Covering background vocals and percussion is his sister-in-law, Rhonda Mesenbourg. All of their children also get in on the fun. David's wife Paula helps to manage the group and Rhonda's husband Tim helps with the production. Their style is a mix of influences from Caribbean to 70's pop rock. It's a sound they refer as "A little bit of Sunshine and a little bit of rock and roll."
