Circle of Shadows is the debut album from London Ontario based Abandoned Souls. An uncompromising 10-song hard rock cd that pays its respects to the altar of rock n roll through decadent honesty.
Formed in late 2004, the band members locked themselves away to concentrate all efforts on writing and recording. Enter LA based recording engineer/producer Jay Ruston (Desmond Child, American Idol Season 4) a long time friend of John's, he offered to critique some demos and was impressed by what he heard. Ruston then offered his production and mixing expertise. The result is an album full of musical hills and valleys that borrow from its influences as much as it steps into its own light.
From the opening roar of “Drawing Linesâ€, the surefire memory burn of “She Rides†and “Violets†to the southern pride of “It’s a Lieâ€, Circle of Shadows embraces our fears and leads the way to a new dawn. Abandoned Souls’, Circle of Shadows is not afraid of the dark, or to stand on its own.
