James and Sebastian met when they were freshmen at the Berklee College of Music. Over the years the two have teamed up with each other and have been writing and recording music, and touring in various bands ever since. Atomic Brother is a culmination of all this experience.
Atomic Brother made their debut release with a single inspired by the 2004 Presidential Election. The song was not an Atomic Brother original, but a revamped version of the Alice Cooper classic, "Elected." "We chose to release 'Elected' instead of one of our songs because of the its relevance to the election this year." The song was released to Active Rock and Heavy Metal commercial and college radio stations in October -- "Elected" got spins all across the U.S. on stations such as KIOZ in San Diego, CA, WCLH in Wilkes-Barre, PA, WRBC in Lewiston, ME, KZCD in Lawton, OK, WRIF in Detriot, MI, WKGB in Rochester, NY, WGIR in Manchester, NH, WVBR in Ovid, NY, and Extreme Radio, US/UK, WWSP in Custer, WY, WSUP in Plattville, WI, WFCS in New Britain, CT, WWVU in Morgantown, WV, WNRN in Charlottsville, VA, WEBN in Cincinatti, OH, WORT in Madison, WI -- and is distributed digitally on the Internet for people to download from iTunes, SONY Connect, Napster and other music sites for only 99 cents. When James and Sebastian started Atomic Brother almost two years ago, it was created as an outlet for them to write and record music in all the different styles that they love to listen to, and love to play. There were no rules other than style doesn't matter and the songs have to be good. "We really love all kinds of music and enjoy the challenge of writing in different styles. Rock, Pop, Country, Metal, it doesn't matter," although, Atomic Brother will be a predominantly heavy band. Atomic Brother has hours of songs written in many different styles and will be selecting the best to record and produce a debut, full-length album, for release in 2005, that will be uniquely Atomic Brother.
