In the beginning of 1991 singer Diogo DeLima and guitar-player Tiago Harry started their first band and they named it Nordica. In 1994 bassist Francisco Guimaraes joined the band; they started writing songs and at that point their purpose was to find the right people to make the band work in the appropriate way. Finally, after a long research, at the end of 1997 drummer Zé Soares and keyboards-player Hugo MSD completed the line-up.
Being now the band solid and experienced, Nordica recorded in 1998 their first demo named "A Child Of The New Rising Sun" which got positive reviews in most of the Hard-Rock mags and Rock-oriented radio worldwide.
With a typical classic '80s AOR influenced sound, the band entered the "Rec'n'Roll Studios" in Valadares, Portugal at the beginning of 2002 to record their debut-album. 11 songs have been recorded and the final mastering was done by no-less-than the popular producer Tommy Newton (Helloween, Pretty Maids, etc.) in the "Area 51 Studios"!
