When you're looking for a dose of hard rock with blistering drumming, wiry melodies and grandiose vocals, look no further than New Hampshire's Purge d.i. Their tense, edge-of-your-seat attack is a perfect complement to the dawning of a new Millennium." Six years in the making, and in production of their third release, Purge d.i. has methodically climbed to the top of the New England music scene, selling more than 5000 albums at shows alone.
With charismatic lead singer Jay Bellaud fronting the band, every note is filled with power and emotion. Drummer Bob Austin is one with his drum kit, delivering a pulse pounding performance every step of the way. Meanwhile Randy Ladd on bass and Keith Cuscia on lead guitar rip it up to deliver a wild, mind-blowing performance. The band's unpredictable antics and synchronicity on stage create a performance matched by few, over shadowed by none. They concentrate tenaciously on preparation and rehearsal, not stopping until personal perfection is reached, having the undeniable "what it takes" attitude every step of the way. After being a mainstay in many local clubs, the Band began working on increasing their exposure by signing on with a small independent record label, Ass 9 Records, in November of 2001. Since aligning itself with Ass 9Records, Purge d.i. has been playing major metropolitan areas such as Boston, MA, Rochester, NY, and Springfield, MA, has acquired national distribution, obtained spots on multiple compilation albums, and been incorporated into national promotions with Universal Buzz, which amongst other things introduced Purge d.i. material to executives and artists alike at the KORN: "Untouchables" album release party in Sacramento, CA. Also playing a private VIP show for national acts Slipknot, Linkin Park, Disturbed and Mudvayne gained them recognition and respect amongst all involved. The college market, radio stations across New England, Broadjam (a national review mechanism), and many others have recently swept up Purge d.i., landing all 3 of Purge d.i.'s recording efforts on multiple top ten lists. Purge d.i. has taken their passion for the music to a level which demands notoriety. A steady line of gigs, including opening spots for Days of the New, Godsmack, Fuel, Powerman 5000, Monster Magnet, Cold, 6 Gig, Mourning Widows and Second Coming, and an unbridled determination to become the biggest and best rock band in the industry, will take them to heights in which all to follow will strive to match.
