Spawned from Hell (a.k.a. Central New Jersey) in the wretched year of 1999, Severed Hand has been on a crusade to rid the world of the evils of pop-punk and emo in the name of all that is metal. The band has played everywhere in New Jersey that would take on their unique brand of heavy metal. Last summer, Severed Hand conquered Maryland opening up for Sebastian Bach, as well as opening for him in the band's home state of New Jersey, and was even featured in the VH1 special "I Married Sebastian Bach." More recently the band placed 3rd (out of 144 bands) in the Jersey Show Battle of the Bands. The band has received ecstatic reviews in Billboard Magazine ("next generation of metal") as well as thatssometal.com ("there is a hope for metal, and it's name is Severed Hand").
