THEND. A new single syllable name now defined as: Total high energy native drive. This group is seven guys strong and has now made the next step forward. Two drummers, two guitarists, bass, vocals, sampler. THEND is beginning.
The band began assembling themselves in late 2000 and was playing shows by early 2001. To this date, they have performed well over 300 shows from opening, to 2nd support, and headliner. Experience counts, and the proof shows in their strong performance.
This brand of hook-bounce-metal music will be for fans of Static-X, Pantera, Zombie, Mudvayne, Machine Head, Soulfly, Dope, ETC. This thick wall of music starts with the complex and high-energy delivery of metal, tribal and bounce beats that come from not one, but two full kit drummers. Together they are something to be heard and witnessed. Often they are playing different patterns in a song, and then bring the beats together solidified.
Then there is the aggressive pair of rhythm guitars that at times play heavy hook riffs as an attacking unified front, then separate and layer through. The thick bottom end is sent from the stylized bass playing that delivers the thump and groove.
Even now with so much musically coordinated chaos, the strong vocals are pushed through with an aggressive clear intent; yet find ways to coast around and between. To round out the music is the Digital Sampler A/V operations.
Over the course of the THEND career, they have steadily built a recognized reputation of solid memorable music with a strong, engaging and entertaining stage presence. Early on they released over 7 songs through distribution of thousands of sampler demos to fans.
Then in 2005 they recorded the full length CD @ J ST. Recorders in Sacramento and in March 2005, released the long awaited self-titled CD.
