"More Songs About Humping and Booze"

You thought we were dead? You thought we'd broken up? You've never heard of us? Shit.

It'll take a lot more than a city full of Mormons and apathy to kill the mighty Thunderfist.

We persevere and thrive in the most adverse musical and environmental conditions known to man.

We are the beloved alcoholic cockroaches that Salt Lake City can't put down without an elephant gun loaded with Valiums and Makers Mark whiskey.

We're here on a rock and roll mission, and we're not letting up until we've played every dive bar in North America.

We enlisted the aid of Jeff Dahl (former Angry Samoan, and punk rock legend) to record the third installment of volume and energy that has become Thunderfist.

We wanted to do it like we do it live, and Jeff captured it with no compromise.

Right on.

Now the specifics; Thunderfist started in late 1997, with four members and began playing shows around the Salt Lake City area.

In 1998 we began (gasp) leaving town and playing shows wherever we could get them in open defiance of all the lazy motherfuckers who live in our little gem of a city.

We have put out two of our own albums under the El Chango Grande ('the big monkey') label, ('Barefoot and Pregnant' 1998, and 'Trash Culture' 1999) and have to date sold about 1300 copies of our first two albums through shows, word of mouth, and our local record store outlets that buy on consignment.

During this process we found a sick genius that knew how to screen print, and began doing shitloads of merchandise.

We will work any bands dick into the dirt, and aren't afraid to put our ass on the line to get things done.

We've played with acts such as the Bell Rays, Agent Orange, the ADZ, Texas Terri & the Stiff Ones, Murder City Devils, and Sloppy Seconds (and we're name-dropping assholes to boot.) I can't think of any more self-emphasizing bullshit, so let's get on with the show.

Does your local pub allow bestiality, fire eating, and self inflicted gun shot wounds? Then that's where we'll be.

Hold on to your girlfriend, your booze, and your mom, we look forward to passing out in a gutter near you..
