This is real spiritual music. And it's the real Bhagavan Das, the man who said "Be Here Now" to Ram Das in 1970 (in India). Some of the songs are in Sanskrit (Sham Radhe Sham") and others are from old bluegrass or blues gospel. He was one of the very first of Neem Karolli Baba's Western disciples. Later came Ram Das, Krishna Das and others.
This record is a huge hit with the yoga center circle. Again, it's very authentic, real, open heart spiritual surgery music. It is not whispy or flowery... but then, neither is Shiva or Kali or Durga or Yaweh or any of the (names for the) Big Ones (One).
Bhagavan Das has performed with everyone from Bob Dylan to Mike D of the Beasty Boys... Amma Chi to Shree Maa... in born again churches... you name it. This is a lover of God without denomination.
