Carol J. Spears, Certified Music Practitioner, Harpist, plays her harp for patients in hospitals, hospices, cancer centers, and other medical facilities. She presents education and meditation workshops about therapeutic harp music in Ohio and Pennsylvannia. A Reiki Master and Teacher, Carol has empowered the recordings and each CD with Reiki energy, with the Intention for the Highest Good for all who listen.
Carol also teaches Meditation classes at a variety of locations in Ohio and Pensylvannia, and is a birth doula. In addition to the sensitive, healing qualities of her harp playing, Carol possesses a soothing, relaxing voice, and in 2004 she will produce a CD of spoken meditations, at the request of her meditation students, with her harp music in the background. Also in 2004 she plans on producing another harp CD, accompanied by the ethereal sounds of crystal bowls.

Therapeutic Music is the playing for individual patients, at the bedside, in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and private residences. It is NOT entertainment; it IS prescriptive music. Carol brings her small harp into the room of the patient, and is able to adjust playing style, rhythm, and melody to the changing needs of the patient.
Scientific studies have shown the beneficial effects of live harp music in patients with cancer, pulmonary disorders, Alzheimer's, pre- and post-operative patients, kidney dialysis, pregnancy, childbirth, and comfort care for the critically ill and dying. Carol also plays a larger harp for ceremonies, memorials, meditations, and seminars.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient, gentle form of hands-on, natural healing using the Universal Life Force Energy. This loving Energy is limitless and available to be shared with all the Earth and all living things. It is not tied to a religion or nationality. Reiki healing energy flows through Carol to you. Healing is accomplished by you, working in partnership with the universal life force energy.
Reiki is very effective with all other types of medical treatments. Since it works on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels, it helps you in your spiritual or meditation practice. Carol also can provide shorter Reiki sessions in the workplace as a stress-relief for the staff of businesses and medical facilities.
